Enhancing the Health and Well-Being of Dogs, Cats, and other Companion Animals...
WHY MASSAGE YOUR PET? * CANINE MASSAGE SERVICES * FELINE MASSAGE SERVICES * OTHER SERVICES * COMMENTS FROM OWNERS ABOUT PAWS MASSAGE * ABOUT MARTHA Massage therapy makes for physically and mentally healthier pets. You could almost call it an essential of health care like grooming, feeding, exercise, etc. One of the best ways to pet communicate is through touch. Touch is powerful, it conveys love, deepens trust, and forges a partnership between you and your pet. Massage is a natural way to increase the bond between you and your pet. THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
COMMENTS FROM OWNERS ABOUT PAWS MASSAGE "Because of the therapy Martha provided we now have a dog who has no obvious limitations in physical ability or capacity."
"... our old dog was obviously relieved of pain and relaxed in spirit after each visit."
"What I learned has allowed me to be more aware of my cat's needs...he now tolerates strangers, enjoys being touched, and accepts grooming..."
As a licensed massage practitioner, I work with both humans and animals. My experience includes several years as a veterinary technician and working in wildlife rehabilitation. I have more than 20 years of experience working with dogs to help them reach higher levels of performance and health. I have owned and trained several breeds of dogs and shown in obedience, tracking, retriever trials, herding and agility. I also have extensive experience with cats, and wildlife of many species. I have taught animal bodywork techniques and canine sports massage nationally and internationally. Massage and other bodywork techniques are not a replacement for medical care for your animal. Martha's work complements the care given by your veterinarian. In fact, Martha works closely with many veterinarians and is available for consultation upon request.
